Dr. Ember Beutel has a fiery passion for aiding her patients in having an active, healthy lifestyle. Sharing her knowledge with patients on how they can make small changes in their everyday lives to create an enormous impact on their overall health, is something she thrives on.
On a personal note, Dr. Ember loves spending time with her family and friends. She’s also devoted to watching good movies, and is a self-proclaimed personal growth junkie; which is probably the best type to be!
How the seed was planted
From the time Dr. Ember was a small child, her grandmother instilled in her that our health is of the utmost importance. Without our health we can’t live to be the best and truest version of ourselves (I think we can see where the personal growth obsession came from). Therefore, if you don’t feel well, nothing else matters. Her grandmother sparked this zeal of fostering good health in Dr. Ember by sharing with her her own beliefs of utilizing natural health pathways first.
When Dr. Ember was a child her grandmother lived next door. Whenever she wouldn’t feel well, she would head next door to Grandma’s and let her work on her. Grandma would have her lie on her chiropractic spinalator table. The table donned a roller that would roll up and down your back. Experiencing firsthand how taking the time to listen to your body, and how giving it what it needs can help it to heal itself, planted the seed of curiosity for the future Dr. Ember.
A fond memory of Dr. Ember’s is recalling giving shoulder massages to help people feel better as a child. People would say how good she was at it, and how much better they felt. That feeling that sparked in her when she felt she helped someone feel better with her massages definitely deepened her proclivity for natural health.
A little background, and the St. Louis Triangle
Dr. Ember has been in practice since February, 2010. She attended Southeast Missouri State from 2002-2006 for Pre-Med, with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She then attended Logan College of Chiropractic from 2006-2009 for her doctorate in chiropractic, and then also obtained a Master’s degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation in 2010.
In 2008, Dr. Ember married the love of her life, Rick Beutel. Rick grew up in Manchester, MO and attended Parkway South. Since St. Louis is kind of like the Bermuda Triangle (if someone grows up here, or moves here, they tend to never leave), Rick quickly and effectively persuaded her start her practice in St. Louis, and begin to put down their roots together here. Which they did! Rick works in the Accounting department for Charter Spectrum, and they have three children : Ricky who was born in 2013, Elaina 2017, and Emma 2020.
